Kim lets slip to geophysicist Ryan that Cleo and the others spend a lot of time on Mako Island, and Ryan goes there in search of more magnetic rocks like the one Cleo showed him. Rikki discovers this, and tries to warn the others that Ryan is on to them, but Bella and Cleo don't believe her, as they are beginning to lose trust in Rikki. Rikki goes to Mako Island herself (with Will tailing her), and uses her powers to destroy Ryan's equipment, but when she starts going too far, Will springs out, and stops her. The two of them are then forced to run and hide in the Moon Pool cavern when Ryan hears them and chases after them, but this leads to Ryan accidentally discovering the Moon Pool.
