With the 20th anniversary of one of the 20th Century's most puzzling unsolved crimes fast approaching, it seems there is a show dedicated to the grisly murder on every channel.

While documentaries are seeking to solve who killed little JonBenet Ramsey, the six-year-old's death is also getting the Lifetime movie treatment.

On Friday the channel known for its rather dramatic story lines, released its own look at the killing which gripped the nation.

Who Killed JonBenet? is not due to air until November, but its trailer promises a gripping tale showing what happened in the fall out of the little girl's murder in 1996.

Making the trailer as dramatic as you would expect from Lifetime, it is narrated by the ghost of JonBenet.

The trailer stars with the voice over saying: 'I was Little Miss Colorado. This Christmas I would be 26, but to everyone I'll always be 6.'

As she speaks we get our first look at Lifetime's JonBenet played by newcomer Payton Lepinski.

The actress with her golden blonde hair and sweet smile certainly looks a lot like the murdered beauty queen.

As Christmas carols give way to more ominous music, the trailer shows viewers can expect and eerie whodunit.

The other members of the Ramsey family are also shown in the trailer, with a known cast of actors taking on the roles.

Robert's Michel Gill, who starred in House of Cards, plays JonBenet's father, John, with hair and makeup working overtime to transform him into the patriarch.

The little girl's mother, Patsy, is played by Romy & Michelle star Julia Campbell.

Also joining the cast is Band Of Brothers actor Eion Bailey as Detective Steve Thomas, who is convinced the family did it.

He says in the trailer: 'It was an accident and they staged it to look like a blown kidnapping.'

Another detective meanwhile, thinks the family is innocent: 'I don't think the Ramseys had anything to do with this.'

At the time many came to suspect the family as their behaviour did not match how people thought a family in grief should be acting.

In the trailer, friends of the couple warn them that it will be the way they are acting and not their daughter's death which will legacy.

Their friend warns: 'You're making it look like you're involved. What you do in the next 24 hours is going to decide the rest of your life.'

Aside from the film, there are currently multiple documentaries investigating the murder of the little girl.

CBS' The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey has claimed it was JonBenet's brother Burke who was responsible.

Burke was just nine when his sister was found dead in his family's wine cellar.

A panel of investigators on the documentary hypothesized that Burke had killed the six-year-old during a fight over a midnight snack of pineapples http://BestDramaTv.Net
