Blazing Fire Damages Shanghai's Hongkou Soccer Stadium

A large fire damaged part of Hongkou Stadium, home turf of Chinese Super League side Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, on Tuesday, March 28. The blaze, which broke out early in the day, scorched part of the building’s exterior.There were no reports of any injuries.It’s believed the fire began in a section of the stadium used by climbers.Shanghai Shenhua made headlines in 2016 when they paid more than $89 million for Argentine striker Carlos Tevez.
