Why Social Networking

Social networking sites act as a conduit to connect like-minded people and they are therefore still attracting members because it fuels the human need to feel part of a community. Social media networks are here to stay - though thinking they will stay as they are indefinitely is unrealistic and impractical. They will of course evolve. Social network sites are web-based services that allow individuals to (1) construct a public or semi-public profile within a bounded system, (2) articulate a list of other users with whom they share a connection, and (3) view and traverse their list of connections and those made by others within the system. The nature and nomenclature of these connections may vary from site to site. Distributed by Tubemogul.
