One of "Saturday Night Live's" most popular sketches, "Weekend Update" is getting a primetime spinoff on NBC. Host Michael Che and Colin Jost will provide comical takes on news stories during a half-hour show starting in August. SNL is currently having its best season in years, primarily thanks to the current political situation. The "Weekend Update" spot has served as a jumping off point for many comics in the past, including current late night hosts Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers.
