Garbage dump collapse invokes rescue operation in Ethiopia

A landslide of garbage at the Koshe Garbage Landfill in Addis Adaba, the Ethiopian capital has left at least 50 dead and more injured, some in critical condition. Many are still missing and the death toll is expected to increase.

Rescue operations are underway to locate survivors from the rubble. The disaster has destroyed over 12 houses with its residents believed to be at home when the landslide occurred.
