Saving a koala from middle of road

An adorable video has emerged from Australia of some people saving a koala which was sitting right in the middle of the road.
In the clip, which was filmed earlier this month, the filmer approaches the marsupial which appears to be licking the painted white lines dividing the lanes.
The koala doesn't pay the filmer or his companions much notice and appears oblivious to the danger of the road.
According to the filmer, they gently prodded the marsupial with a stick and it went on its way back to the safety of the bush.
