NBC wants Jimmy Fallon to be more political
  • 7 years ago
Jimmy Fallon may have to change his ways after ratings for "The Tonight Show" continue to drop in favor of his late-night counterpart, Stephen Colbert. According to Page Six, many inside NBC are pushing for Fallon to be more political, something he has mostly stayed away from. The show's ratings have been slowly dropping after Fallon had Donald Trump on his show during the middle of the presidential campaign. Instead of asking him overly political questions, Fallon and Trump had a playful interview, which was met with widespread criticism. Colbert, on the other hand, has embraced a more combative political stance which has given him the best ratings since he began hosting "The Late Show."
