Panneerselvam and his supporters staged a hunger strike at Chennai's Rajarathinam Stadium, demanding CBI probe into Jayalalithaa's death. Rebel AIADMK leader O. Panneerselvam gathered with other rebel MLAs for a long fast. let me tell you J Jayalalitha suffered a massive cardiac arrest on the evening of December 4, 2016, and never recovered, said a medical report released by Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences, which had sent a team of experts to Chennai to treat the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.The former Chief Minister was declared dead on December 5 by doctors of the Apollo hospital. Recently, a team of AIADMK MPs backing Mr. Panneerselvam submitted a representation to President Pranab Mukherjee, demanding an investigation into Jayalalithaa’s death. AIADMK Rajya Sabha Member V. Maitreyan said that there were still “doubts” in the minds of people as well as AIADMK cadre as to whether Jayalalithaa’s death was natural.
