Our Prophet (saas) told believers to avoid storing more than needed

ADNAN OKTAR: Abu Hurayrah relates: The messenger of Allah (saas) visited Bilal who presented him with a quantity of dates upon which he inquired: "What is this, O Bilal?' He replied: 'I kept them for the coming winter.' The Prophet (saas) thereupon said: "Don't you fear that they turn smoke for you in the hell? So spend in charity, O Bilal and do not fear poverty from Allah, The Owner of The Throne. (Tabrani, Abu Ya'la, Sahih Targhib #922)

This is a problem with people. For example, they tend to store food, drinks, money, gold, silver etc. God dislikes such deed. This is not the behaviour of a Muslim that truly submits to God. Because, the food will surely go bad and become harmful to the body. You should eat what you have and share what you could not, and God will grant to you again. Do not worry. You will have even more, even better. What will you achieve by hoarding it?
