Sunday May 18th, The Encompass New Opera Theatre Salutes Broadway Composer Jerry Bock's 80th birthday. The event will be held at the National Arts Club and will feature performances by Kristin Chenoweth, Harvey Fierstein, Brian d'Arcy James and a host of others. An evening of cocktails, birthday cake and world class performances, what could be better.

Fresh from receiving the courage award from the Point Foundation, a prestigious scholarship organization for the LGBT community, the Roundabout Theatre Company is pleased to announce the New York City premiere of Lisa Loomer's Distracted, a quirky look at Attention Deficit Disorder, starring Tony Award-winner Cynthia Nixon. Roundabout calls, "Distracted a fast-paced and disarmingly funny look at parenting in the age of the Internet and Ritalin. Off-Broadway performances begin in February 2009 at the Laura Pels Theatre.
