Teen’s Dell Laptop Bursts Into Flames

Cort Johnson and his son Devon shot this dramatic video of Devon’s charging Dell laptop suddenly bursting into a ball of fire as he and a friend ate pizza just a few feet away.Speaking to a local news reporter, Devon said he had plugged in his four-year old laptop to charge, and a few hours later smoke began shooting out of the side before it burst into flames.
After he blew out the first fire, his friend Andrew unplugged the laptop and they took it outside and placed it on a table. A few minutes later, while unplugged, the computer caught fire again. The young men blew out the flames and, after another three minutes passed, flames shot out of the laptop for a third time. They then resorted to using a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze. However, as they approached the laptop, it erupted into flames one more time, almost injuring Devon. Sprayed again with the extinguisher, the fire was finally put out for good.
