#DayWithoutLatinos Protesters Take Over Downtown Milwaukee

Thousands gathered in opposition to the city’s plan to crack down on illegal immigration, led by Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. The sheriff announced plans to enroll his deputies in a federal program that allows them to act as immigration agents. Images of the demonstrations, organized by advocacy group Voces de la Frontera, were shared across social media.
