RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army gunned down eight Afghan terrorists who had entered Pakistan through the Pak-Afghan border, ARY News reported.

The terrorists from Afghanistan attacked a security checkpost in Mohmand Agency after which an exchange of fire ensued between them and Pakistan Army soldiers.

Pakistan Army managed to foil the terror bid and gunned down eight terrorists who had carried out the attack.

Several terrorists managed to escape from the scene.

Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted, “Terrorists from Afghanistan side fire raided Pakistani border post in Mohmand agency. Pakistani troops at post effectively responded to render the fire ineffective. Terrorist fleeing back to Afghanistan.”
