FERNANDO DE NORONHA, BRAZIL — Viral video coming out of Brazil this week shows us what happens when a numbskull tourist decides to take some snaps with a baby shark.
The foolishness took place on the Brazilian archipelago of Fernando de Noronha — a UNESCO world heritage site and protected animal sanctuary.
Apparently, the unidentified female thought it was a good idea to take a photo with a shark. While she was taking a snap, the little guy chomped on her hand.
A friend can be seen helping her get the little guy off, and then the woman tosses the shark pup back in the water. She received 4 stitches for the bite wound, the Huffington Post Australia reported, citing a Reddit user who posted the original clip.
Brazilian authorities later fined the man and woman the equivalent of $6,000 for animal cruelty.
