Lady Gaga brought a show-stopping performance for the Super Bowl LI halftime show, moving through hit after hit, and showcasing the different aspects of her artistry.
The superstar opened her performance on the roof of Houston, Tex.'s NRG Stadium singing snippets of American classics "God Bless America" and "This Land Is Your Land," before reciting the Pledge of Allegiance line, "One Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all as dozens of drones looking like twinkling stars flew behind her. Then things got wild.
Gaga jumped off the ceiling and flew into the stadium on suspended wires, singing her 2009 single "Poker Face," before flying down to the main stage to continue the show.
Throughout the medley, Gaga showed off loads of different talents as she commanded the large dance numbers for "Born This Way" and "Telephone," played the keytar while a backup dancer held her microphone for "Just Dance," rocked out on a piano for "Million Reasons," and finished it all off with a show-stopping performance of "Bad Romance."
There were no political statements as it was heavily rumored, but Gaga did take a cute moment to say hi to her Mom and Dad during the showcase before ending the performance by literally dropping the mic and catching a football that was thrown to her. Touchdown, indeed.
