The Piaggio Group is getting into the robot market with Gita, a machine that can carry as much as 40 pounds as it follows you down the street. The robot can also operate autonomously and is designed to be agile enough to navigate busy sidewalks and hallways. Gita can be used for everything from trips to the supermarket to industrial warehouses. The product isn’t available to purchase just yet, but eventually the company plans a consumer launch.
