SYDNEY — A former beauty queen with a penchant for assaulting people is finally paying her dues.
News.com.au reports that on Dec. 16, Brittany Nicole Poteet, who goes by Nikki, was accused of beating up boyfriend Wade McKenzie at Neutral Bay, on Sydney’s North Shore.
She had to appear before an Australian court and was charged with assault for causing the 29-year-old man bodily harm. McKenzie has since taken out an apprehended violence order against her.
The 2011 Miss Virginia USA was already making headlines before she moved to Australia in 2014 — but for all the wrong reasons.
Her then-roommate accused her of smashing furniture and uttering gay slurs at him and his friends. She also allegedly attacked an ex-boyfriend in 2013, punching him in the face and snaring him with a fish hook.
Charges in both cases were dropped, with Poteet denying any wrongdoing.
