A massive iceberg the size of Delaware is set to break off of Antartica

A 1,900 square-mile section of ice in Antartica is poised to break away from the continent, causing tremendous damage to a massive ice shelf. The Delaware-sized section of the "Larsen C" ice shelf is now only connected by a 12-mile section of ice. Scientists and researchers have been monitoring a huge crack in the shelf that grew 11 miles in December alone. The good news though is that they have yet to discover a connection to global warming, saying that it is natural occurrence, though very rare.
