Aamir Khan Says Not Competing With Actors Who've Played Cops Onscreen

Police uniform has become a hot favourite among our Bollywood actors or so it seems. After Salman Khan (Dabangg), Ajay Devgn (Singham) and Akshay Kumar (Rowdy Rathore), now Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan will be seen playing a cop in his upcoming film 'Talaash'. However, Aamir claims that as his character in the movie is very different, there is no competition between him and the aforementioned actors. At the music launch of the movie, Aamir said, "I'm not competing with anyone. All these films (Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore and Singham) in which Salman, Akshay and Ajay have played a cop have been very successful. Talaash is a different kind of a film. In the movie, my character is not as colourful as Salman's Chulbul Pandey in 'Dabangg', my character is fighting the demons of his past and it is not an out and out entertainment kind of film , it's entertaining but in a different way. The story is very good and after a long time, a suspense drama film is coming so I really like it, let's see what happens." Directed by Reema Kagti, 'Talaash' stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji alongside Aamir and will release on November 30, 2012.
