These people, all of whom are British, include figures such as the British spies Gertrude Bell, Thomas Adwerd, Lawrence, their local collaborators Jafar al-Askari, Sassoon Eskell, the commander of the British invasion forces, General Edmund Allenby, Marshal Sir Foch.
