President Obama thanked troops serving overseas during his last Christmas address as commander-in-chief, while vacationing in Hawaii. The Obamas visited the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe Bay during their holiday trip. “What you do matters and that we know about it and that were grateful and that we will stay grateful even when many of you end up being out of uniform," Obama said addressing troops. He noted that it is a “privilege of my life” to serve as their commander-in-chief and as a citizen. The visit with service members has become a holiday tradition for the Obamas.
