Shruti Haasan: 'My D-Day character is layered and intense'

Shruti Haasan, who's been missing from the Bollywood arena for quite some time now, is back with a bang. The actress will be seen in two forthcoming films, 'D-Day' and 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' and she'll play a prostitute in the former. Talking about her 'D-Day' character, the actress said, "I'm playing the role of a commercial sex worker from Karachi in Pakistan. It is an extremely layered, intense and deep character and it's a story I really wanted to be a part of." Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film stars Arjun Rampal, Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles alongwith Shruti.
