SAI WAN HO, HONG KONG — A man who stole breast milk from his office pantry and sent inappropriate text messages to the woman whose milk it was has pleaded guilty to theft, on account of stress.
On March 8, Lam Chung-kan decided to hit the office pantry to grab a refreshing beverage. Oddly, he chose to take a bottle of breast milk from the fridge.
His colleague, the owner of the breast milk, began receiving text messages from an unknown caller who claimed of having drank the baby formula. A month later, more odd text messages came in – one photo of a glass of milk, and the other, of an erect penis wrapped in a plastic bag.
Caught on CCTV camera footage in the office, 37-year-old Lam pleaded guilty to one count of theft, for which he’ll have to pay for with 200 hours of community service. Lam’s lawyer insisted her client is not mentally ill, but instead chose to steal the breast milk as a means of coping with stress.
