While grapevine is abuzz with reports that Saif Ali Khan has been booked for assaulting South African businessman Iqbal Sharma at Mumbai's Taj Hotel in February 2012, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan claims that no charges have been framed against him. At a recent event, when Kareena was asked to comment on the issue, she said, "We will find a good way don't worry and he is a good person, he is a good human being and he has not been charged at all, that's the main thing. So you don't need to make it into a big issue and he had apologized that night and this issue came to an end that very night." In February 2012 Saif, who was having dinner with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi, allegedly got into a brawl with Sharma, who had objected to the noise coming from the starry table. Reportedly, when Iqbal's father-in-law tried to intervene, Saif punched and abused him as well. Reportedly, Khan has been charged under Section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with Amrohi and Ladak.
