Himesh Reshammiya: ''Jumma Chumma' was the inspiration behind 'Jumme Ki Raat'

Kick's first song Jumme Ki Raat has become a rage amongst the audience and Himesh Reshammiya, the composer of the party number, which features the film's lead pair- Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, claims that they took inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan's chartbuster song Jumma Chumma for it. At the song launch, Reshammiya said, "The inspiration was Jumma Chumma that came almost 20 years back. That song was shot very beautifully back then and Ahmed Khan too has choreographed Jumme Ki Raat very beautifully and of course the persona of Salman bhai is something else. Bachchan saab was obviously extraordinary in Jumma Chumma. We wanted it to be the biggest party anthem." Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is slated to release on Eid.
