The trailer of Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated film ‘Dangal’, which is based on the life of Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters, was unveiled today and we simply can’t get enough of it!
The trailer throws light on the story of Phogat, a former wrestler, who longs for a son who can carry his legacy forward and win the gold medal in wrestling for the country. However, much to his disappointment, Phogat is blessed with daughters. But when Phogat realizes that his daughters are as good as sons when they bash up some bullies, Phogat decides to train them in wrestling. Aamir Khan is not called Mr. Perfectionist for nothing and the actor is as impressive as ever. The film also stars Sakshi Tanwar, who plays his wife and actresses Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra as his daughters Geeta and Babita respectively. The wrestling scenes and the sequences where Phogat trains his daughters have been shot beautifully and have made us curious to watch the film on the big screen.
The trailer is quite inspiring and though certain scenes from the trailer might remind you of ‘Sultan’, ‘Dangal’ will surely prove to be one of the biggest hits this year. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ is slated to release on December 23.
