Greer lives in a ramshackle woodland farmhouse with her father, Ivan, a failed gamekeeper who has a chronic mental illness. Isolated and ostracised by the nearby villagers, Greer works in a care-home and monitors Ivan. Greer is troubled by her burdens. She loves her Dad but dreams of a life lived in color. Greer is entranced when an exotic couple crashes into her tedium. She takes them home but her half-formed hopes are destroyed and end in fatal violence.PARIS/SEXY is both charming and disturbing. Ruth Paxton has written and directed a compelling tragedy where virtue is not rewarded and dreams don’t come true.
