Snake Catcher Chases Down Deadly Brown Snake in Adelaide

A snake catcher in South Australia had her work cut out for her when she chased down an elusive eastern brown snake – one of the deadliest snakes in the world.Ange Broadstock, of Snake Catchers Adelaide, was called to a house in Flagstaff Hill on November 26 after the resident’s dog was bitten by the highly venomous brown snake. As Broadstock approached the slithering creature, it jetted off with the snake catcher close behind. Broadstock eventually captured the snake, though, as seen in this video.
Broadstock told Storyful that her snake bag went “dodgy” when trying to put the snake away. Broadstock and her client then noticed that the dog was starting to suffer from the snake venom.
“I packed the snake into my car when we noticed the dogs back legs started to give way, so [the homeowner] quickly rushed him to the vet. I believe the dog is fine,” she said.
