Syria Rejects UN Special Envoy's Request for Autonomous Aleppo Zone

The UN special envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, is in Damascus on a quick visit, where he has raised a lot of topics with Syrian foreign minister Walid Al-Moualem. among the issues, Mistura asked Syria to grant autonomy to the rebel-held eastern part of Aleppo City. the request was rejected by the Syrian government.
