Ancient, bizarre spider with 'disk' on its back discovered in China

Bizarre footage has emerged from China of an apparently "ancient" species of spider discovered by a farmer.

The video, filmed in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, shows the strange creature which is reportedly one of the earliest documented spiders in the country, and has a disk attached to its abdomen.

The species is extremely rare and valuable so the farmer is looking for a home for it.
