Google gets fooled by fake election news

Google acknowledged its algorithms post-election were inaccurate, and recognized fake news story that circulated on the search engine about Donald Trump winning the popular vote. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton garnered more votes overall, but lost the electoral vote. Fake news story related to the presidential election also circulated on Facebook, prompting Mark Zuckerberg to acknowledge the hoax. "We clearly didn't get it right, but we are continually working to improve our algorithms," a Google spokesperson said.
