A new refugee reception center was opened at Porte de la Chapelle in Paris, France, on November 10.Operated by the homeless assistance organization Emmaüs Solidarité, the center will cater to up to 400 men. The video here shows a day center, housed in an 900-square-meter inflatable bubble, and a neighboring accommodation building.
Another center is expected to open in the coming months at Ivry-sur-Seine, which will cater to single mothers and families, according to the Paris authorities.
The opening of the center at Porte de la Chapelle comes days after authorities dismantled a makeshift encampment at Stalingrad metro station in the center of the city. The camp reportedly held more than 3,000 people, having swelled after the closure of the Jungle camp in Calais. Credit: YouTube/Clement Lanot via Storyful
