Biểu tình phản đối trước tòa soạn báo Người Việt tại Little Saigon, nam California
Trưa ngày thứ bảy, 19 tháng 1 năm 2013, một cuộc biểu tình được chuẩn bị và thông báo từ nhiều tuần qua, đã diễn ra trước tòa soạn nhật báo Người Việt trên đường Moran, trung tâm Little Saigon. Cuộc biểu tình nhằm phản đối một số việc làm của báo người Việt, mà mới nhất là việc tờ báo này cho in và bán cuốn sách Bên Thắng Cuộc của tác giả Huy Đức.
Trong suốt thời gian của cuộc biểu tình, các hệ thống loa từ phía báo Người Việt cũng như từ phía những người biểu tình được sử dụng với âm lượng tối đa, để phát thẳng vào nhau, khiến nhiều người liên tưởng đến các hệ thống loa đặt hai bên đầu cầu Hiền Lương ở vĩ tuyến 17, trong những ngày tháng trước năm 1975.
