http://www.motorbeam.com/ tests the new Jaguar F-Type. After 39 years, Jaguar has finally launched the replacement of the E-Type, the new F-Type. This is not the first time Jaguar has tried to make the F-Type, it has previously tried doing it twice under different ownerships. The new Jaguar F-Type is a 2-seater sports car, aimed mostly at the US and UK market. Jaguar offers the F-Type with three engines - V6, V6S and V8S. The V6 engine in the F-Type is the same unit that does duty in many Jaguar cars. The 3.0-litre unit produces 340 PS of power. The V6S F-Type has an additional 40 HP of power from the same 3.0-litre engine. The V8S Jaguar F-Type uses a 5.0-litre Supercharged motor to produce 495 HP of power and 625 Nm of torque. Acceleration in the Jaguar F-Type is phenomenal and the car reaches high speeds with urgency. The Jaguar F-Type V8S does 0-100 km/hr in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 300 km/hr.
