This is loosely based on Twelve Angry Men. Nah, that's just what the film maker wants you to think to keep you from wondering why, if aliens are so advanced that they have spaceships and travel to other planets, would they bother coming to earth just to scoop up 50 douchebags from L.A. to argue (loudly) which one of them deserves to live to be put back down on Earth. If there ARE aliens watching, they are laughing their asses off...
