PARSHURAM, he is the youngest son of Maharshi Jamdagni and Renuka, doing Tapasya in his light ray form at Mahendrgiri Mountain as on today because he is immortal. Once upon a time in early days Kshatriya kings on earth became proudy, corrupt and were giving rise to tamasi qualities like over drinking, quarrelling with each other, killing and then creating problems in the society. The Brahmins who used to tell them the truth, they were insulting him like Daanav used to do. The Kshatriya Kings on the earth had no fear with anyone because Daanavas were already afraid of Devataas after they had Amrit. Daanavas were hiding themselves & Devataas became careless, then some of the monsters change themselves into the guise of a Kshatriya king and thus they were enjoying and later started troubling others. Shri Hari took partial incarnation as Parshuram and killed twenty one times all these Kshatriya kings along with their forces.
Sahastrbahoo Arjun, who had captured Ravan once upon a time (already we told earlier), was one of the Kshatriya King who became very proudly. He was having a boon from Shri Dattatrey (also a partial incarnation of God) that whenever he would go to the battle field for fighting, he will have thousand hands, that is why he was given a title of Sahastrbahoo (shastra means one thousand and baahu means hand in Sanskrit language). Earlier he was a good king but latter he filled with pride. One day Sahastrbahoo was passing through a forest where he saw an Ashram. It was the Ashram of Maharshi Vashisht (Maharshi Vashisht normally stays at Saptrishi Manadal but this earth is known as Mrityulok where Karm is done, therefore the ascetic Rishis, Maharshi etc those saty in other Loks used to come and stay in the Mrityulok when they have to do some karm) Maharshi was not there at that time in the ashram. Suddenly just for fun Sahastrbahoo started filling the water around the Ashram, while he was doing such act, Maharshi entered towards his Ashram and asked him, why he is doing this? Sahastrbahoo just laughed loudly at him. Maharshi got angry said are you an idiot? Why you are doing so? Don’t you see that this is my Ashram? Sahastrbahoo said “Maharshi no one is there in the entire world who could talk to Sahastrbahoo in loud voice, you are a Brahmin, thin and lean except a curse you cannot do anything. Therefore I cannot fight with you, as this would be an insult for me, but if anybody else would have utter such words, certainly he would have been killed by me” Sahastrbahoo was not aware that the ordinary looking saint is Maharshi Vashisht. Maharshi said “so you want to fight with a Brahmin no problem, you think that Brahmins are lean and thin, having no mussel power like you. You are right in your thinking that, except giving a curse, what a Brahmin can do? Therefore I curse you that you will be killed by a Brahmin in a battle then you and like minded Kshatriya will understand that a Brahmin may consists of mussel power too.
Parshuram was very obedient son of his father, one day his father Maharshi Jamdagni said to his wife Renuka (mother of Parshuram) to bring samidha for yagya. But she did not come timely and time for yagya was nearing to over, when she came then Jamdagni asked to her for the reason of late coming Renuka said different story which was a lie. Maharshi was a Siddh saint he immediately came to know through his yogbal that Renuka is telling lie, he got angry and ordered his all sons one by one to chop off her head with Axe, but no one accepted to kill his mother, then Jamdagni told Parshuram to chop off the head of all his brothers because they did not obeyed to him and to his mother as well. Without any delay Parshuram chopped off the head of his mother and all of his brothers. Jamdagni got pleased with his son Parshuram and said you are great because without thinking you followed my order, therefore my son tell me what boon I should give you. Parshuram said ‘dear father if you are happy with me then please make my mother and brothers alive and important is that they must forget everything i.e. should not realize that I killed them. Then by a special Mantr (mritsanajeevani Vidya) power Jamdagni made all of them alive and due to effect of boon they could not know that, if they were killed by Parshuram. Parshuram touched the feet of his parents and asked to give him permission to take holy bath in Ganga and to visit pilgrims, because his act is considered as a sin (killing of mother & brother). Parshuram did a lot of Tapasya for years and got Siddhi.
