Video of the Fergus and Andy scenes from the 2008 Australian movie “Newcastle”. The video is age restricted due to the (mild) sexual content and occasional comic nudity. Themes of surfing, sibling rivalry and unspoken sexuality revolve around a gritty coming-of-age story.

Twin brothers Fergus and Jesse live at home with their parents and older brother Victor. They couldn’t be more opposite. Jesse is a skilled surfer and is committed to trying to get onto the international circuit. Fergus has no such ambition and prefers to act the part of a rebel, with his ever-changing hair colour and enigmatic personality.

Fergus has a massive crush on Jesse’s best friend Andy. So it comes as no surprise that he asks to join them when they go away for a weekend of camping and outback surfing with some of their mates. Everyone knows why Fergus wants to come and he’s constantly jibed about it. Andy is flattered by Fergus’ attention and totally accepting of his sexuality. He takes Fergus under his wing and shows him a lot of warmth and support, hanging out with him and even offering to teach him the basics of surfing. They have a natural friendship and, while there are no clear signs that Andy wants this to develop into something deeper, there are a lot of sideways glances and an obvious chemistry between them.

The events of the weekend, which include first love as well as a tragic incident, strengthens the bond between the group and helps them discover what's truly important in life.
