Apple unveils Apple Watch 2 and Apple Watch Nike+ model
  • 8 years ago
Apple unveiled two new versions of its lauded Apple Watch Wednesday. The most noticeable change to the original is the addition of a new, water-resistant shell, which makes the watch swimproof up to 50 meters. The company also upgraded the processor in the device, now called the S2, which Apple says is 50 percent faster than its predecessor. There's also the addition of a GPS chip. The built-in GPS allows the device to perform mapping on its own, no phone required. Apple is also introducing a Nike Apple Watch with a special band, custom watch faces and a fuel tracker. The Apple Watch (aluminum model) and the Apple Watch Nike+ model will cost $369 and debut on September 16.
