SOUTH AFRICA — A 12-year-old girl has rapidly risen to infamy online for posting photos of her trophy kills while hunting with her father in South Africa.

Aryanna Gourdin and her father, Eli, returned from a hunting expedition earlier this year. While there, the young hunter took aim at some of South Africa’s finest animals, and took pictures with their carcasses to show the world of her triumphs. Her album of photos includes a dead wildebeest, a zebra, a giraffe, and an impala, all shot with either a bow or a hunting rifle. Her Facebook page hosts a variety of other hunting kills, including a bear, and deer. In the album, she also happens to have photos of her hugging a live cat and a live bunny rabbit.

In an interview with Good Morning America on August 17, in response to the tsunami-sized wave of hate she’s received for her photos, Aryanna was quoted as saying “I would never back down from hunting. I am a hunter and no matter what people say to me, I’m never going to stop.”
