Report: Amazon wants to take down Spotify with new $5 streaming service

Amazon is looking to dive headfirst into the highly competitive streaming music industry, but on its own terms. Sources say that Amazon is looking to launch a new streaming service in the coming months that would come with a discounted price of only $5. However, the streaming platform, and all of the music on it, would only be playable via Amazon's Echo device. Amazon has yet to get all of the major labels to sign off on the product, which delays any plans for a future release.
