Keyakizaka46 (Hiragana Keyaki) - Kakizaki Memi Showroom 2016.08.18 part1 - Japanese w/English subtitles

Kakizaki Memi, 14, is the youngest member of Hiragana Keyaki, the new intake of 11 members into the popular year-old Japanese idol group, Keyakizaka46. This is the first 20 minutes of her Showroom appearance on 18 August 2016. Showroom is a Japanese video site on which individuals or groups can broadcast live from their own computers or cellphones, with viewers' comments appearing to them on their screens. The final auditions for Hiragana Keyaki were Showroom broadcasts, and as of 2016.08.22, the successful members have done three more series of broadcasts.

Memi-tan, as she is called, was centre on Hiragana Keyaki's first recording, released on the standard edition of Keyakizaka46's second single, Sekai ni wa Ai shika Nai. She was part of a double centre, with Nagahama Neru, who is in both the original Keyakizaka46 and the new sub-group.

Her first Showroom broadcasts rocketed Memi-tan to popularity before anyone had seen her perform. Her extreme youth, coupled with her naturalness in answering questions and speaking to the camera, fascinated many viewers. Have a look and see what you think.
