Susannah Hunt Headshave for charity
Susannah's Story:
I have always wanted to shave my head but never really sat down and thought about it. Then a friend, Honey Hollingsworth, became a Brave Shaver in memory of her grandmother and her mother's painful but successful battle with cancer. I just thought it was such a great and corageous thing and felt inspired! Luckily, I have never experienced a loved ones battle with cancer but know many who have and cannot even imagine what they must be going through and how you would begin to deal with having the disease. I just want to do my part to help out those who I know of, also those who I don't, anyway I can by raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Cancer is very much present in our society today and even the taboo around the word needs to be battled. We are still far away from finding a cure but we have come on leaps and bounds in helping tackle it. Because of the money invested in cancer research 50% of people diagnosed now survive their battle. One day a family member or I may be a victim and this scares me. But what also scares a lot of you is the thought of me with no hair! It has always been a big feature in my appearance, has come in many shapes, sizes and colours, which is why I am keen yet also extremely nervous to do this, to go out of my comfort zone and become a Brave shaver. So, big shout out to Honey for leading the way and all of you who have overcome cancer or experienced an others battle, I salute you.

You can no longer donate to Susannah's campaign via her fundraising page because the campaign is over:(
