The SUV will launch with power coming from a W12 engine, while plug-in hybrid and diesel powertrains are expected to join the lineup sometime in 2017. The Bentayga will be platform mates with the new Audi Q7, Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne and is expected to carry a top speed of about 200 MPH.

Bentley hopes the new SUV will help to achieve its sales goal of 20,000 units annually by 2020. In 2014, Bentley moved 11,020 vehicles, a year-over-year increase of 9 percent.
