Possums are protected species, so you cannot kill them or take him and release them in other areas. If possums are trapped they must be released within 50 metres of the property and you must have a license to do that.
Possums generally do make a lot of mess around the home, so what we would suggest there is if you're having a problem with possums, we can certainly come out there and assist them and have a look for you and see where the possum evidence are.
If you're hearing noises in the roof and the possums are gaining entry into the roof space, they do cause a lot of damage inside the roof, so they may gnaw the electrical wires and may make a mess of the insulation.
In some cases that might come through the ceiling into the home and they do make a hell of a lot of mess, if they do that.
Now once we come out on site,we will determine by looking at the droppings, the grease marks and possible entry points where they are coming into the house or into the roof space and how they're getting up onto the roof.
So there might be trees up close it against the home that might need to be cut back, it might be power lines that are coming across in the attached to the home.
