Storm clouds rolled into Cancun, Mexico, on Wednesday, August 3, as Hurricane Earl edged towards the east coast of Mexico and Belize. The US National Hurricane Center in Miami said the storm had generated sustained winds topping 70 mph on Wednesday. The hurricane is expected to make landfall in Belize, where around 400 people were evacuated.
