10 True Stories in Movies That Are Actually FAKE

  • 8 yıl önce
In the world of movies there are two major types – fiction and non-fiction. Some releases that are biographies and documentaries are based on true stories and, for the most part, rely on facts throughout most of the film. Then there are fictional movies. These are based on fantasy or never happened in the history of ever. Some examples include The Avengers, Batman, Toy Story and Transformers. No one group is better than the other and it’s all subjective when it comes to what types of films you prefer to watch.
Then there are the types of films which are based on true stories. You know these are based on true stories because they are often advertised as such. You’re probably thinking that such movies obviously belong in the ‘non-fiction’ section since they are based on fact, right? Not always. In fact, filmmakers love adding the label of ‘based on a true story’ because it reels viewers in. Unfortunately, in many instances saying that a movie is based on a true story is like saying Twinkies are real food – in part there’s truth but overall we know that’s a stretch
The films ahead fall into that category. In some cases they are not based on a one true story but have been created by bringing together multiple true stories to make one bigger “true story.” In others, only one character or event was real while the entire story around them is made up. In the end, most of what you just watched on screen was fake.
