ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — A Texas man fell off a waterslide recently and video of it has gone viral.
The man, David Salmon from Dallas, posted a video to his Facebook on July 18 of him falling off the side of a water slide.
“Too dang old to be going down water slides,” he wrote. “Fell off this one that is over a rocky cliff. First time in an ambulance.”
Salmon didn’t disclose the location of the slide, but he did mention he was in a hospital in Round Rock, Texas.
Video showed Salmon riding an open tube slide that curved sharply left and right. As Salmon approached the first turn, he uses his arm to slow himself down. On the second turn, he was unable to slow himself and was launched over the side of the slide and down a rocky cliff.
Salmon suffered a broken arm, fractured ribs and several lacerations to his arms, back and side. Luckily, he remained positive.
“Just found out I don’t need surgery so that’s good news! One more night in Austin then I can go home to Dallas,” he wrote, “#waterslide #fail #failvideo #brokenarm #notdead.”
