Box Office News From Getthedaily.com - Your Online Source For News. Hi everyone, I'm Andrea Rene for get the daily.com and its time to look at some upcoming new releases at the box office. 1. The Other Bolyen Girl This movie is a period piece set during the reign of King Henry 8th in England, if you watch the Tudors you know all about Ann Boleyn. She is played by Natalie Portman in this flick which also stars Scarlet Johansson as Mary Boleyn, her sister. The King is played by Eric Bana, and poor him, he has to choose, well we all know he chooses Anne but its worth watching to see Scarlet and Natalie go at it. The critics are split on this one so I'd say see it! 2. Semi-Pro Some of Will Ferrel's recent comedies have been lackluster for me, dont you agree? But this basketball comedy looks like he could be back on the top of the box office. Co-stars woody harrelson, Andre benjamin, Andy Richter, Will Arnett, and some other comedy favorites. Not much detail to the story line, will plays Jackie Moon, owner/coach/player of the Flint Michigan Tropics, a sad team that hopes to make it to the NBA. 3. Penelope (limited) This filmed is being called a modern romantic tale, its the story of girl under a curse until she finds true love! Nothing new about that story line but it is pretty amusing to watch Christina Ricci prance on screen with a pig nose, considering she's got such a small cute nose in real life. This film also stars Reese Witherspoon and James McAvoy, and the critics are 50/50 on this one as well, so you'll have to find out for yourself! Other movies opening in limited release this weekend include City of Men, Chicago 10, and Bonneville which stars Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, and Joan Allen. That concludes the box office preview. Hopefully you found something you'd like to see! For get the daily.com, I'm Andrea Rene, have a great weekend!
