Tony Hawk pulls off the first 900 in history

On this day 17 years ago, June 27th, 1999, Tony Hawk achieved the very first 900 ever during the X-Games VI in San Francisco. The famous American skateboarder was the first to pull off such a move: 2 and ½ rotations in the air (360° + 360° + 180° = 900°) before landing back on the ground. Thanks to this feat, Tony Hawk was rocketed into international skateboard stardom.
